IJSE

The International Journal for Sound in Education (IJSE) is the official scientific peer-reviewed journal of the International Network for Sound Education (INSE).
It is published by the Research and Training Center of Taygetos (RTCT), and hosted by the National Documentation Centre (EKT), Greece, as a publication of Regional Directorate of Education (PDE) of Peloponnese.

Aims and Scope

The International Journal for Sound in Education explores the multiple dimensions of sound as a medium of learning, teaching, and research.
It promotes interdisciplinary, intersectional, and interthematic approaches that connect education with the arts, sciences, humanities, and technology.
IJSE encourages contributions that investigate the role of sound in pedagogy, curriculum design, acoustic environments, creative practices, and technological – digital education.
The journal aims to support educators, researchers, and practitioners who wish to develop and apply sound-based and sound-focused pedagogies at all levels of education.

Publication and Review Policy

IJSE follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance.
The journal is open access, offering free and unrestricted availability of all published content.
It is published twice a year in electronic format, through the National Documentation Centre.

Article Types

The journal welcomes:
● Original research papers
● Theoretical or conceptual studies
● Educational case studies and project reports
● Reviews of literature or practice

Manuscripts must be submitted in English and prepared according to APA style 7th edition (see examples pdf here).
Authors may submit their work through the online submission form available on the journal’s website or by contacting the editorial office directly, according to the current call.
